Tyler James Williams remembers that 'Everybody Hates Chris'

He's only 29, yet the actor Tyler James Williams, one of the main characters of ABC's hit comedy Abbott Elementary, is a veteran in the entertainment business.

He was featured on Sesame Street when 7 and, in a matter of years, due to his role as the main character in the late-aughts sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, inspired by Chris Rock's childhood, he became inexplicably.

I was just not used to seeing that many eyes. When you're 12 years old, you'll get the feeling of walking through the crowd."

However, not everything he recalls from the incident was negative.

I had to decide on the type of performer I wanted to become I was about 17 and that's the moment I realized, don't be a part of the roles you're given.

There's lots of noise, especially in the vicinity of child actors.

It was discovered that Williams was believed to be too handsome to be The younger comedian.


Everybody Hates Chris ended up being aired for four seasons between 2005 and 2009,

He was awarded and earned Emmy nominations in addition to accolades by BET, AFI, the NAACP, and many more.

Williams states. "And it was not my intention to be an actor who earned lots of money but didn't perform any work that actually changed the course in society.
