The 1940s starlet Virginia Patton Moss, who played a little but memorable part in Frank Capra's holiday classic "It's a Wonderful Life," has passed away.

At the age of 97, Moss passed away on Thursday, August 18, from natural causes. In 1943, Moss, then known as Patton when she first started acting, began her Hollywood career.

when the adolescent was cast in an uncredited role in "Thank Your Lucky Stars," a Warner Bros. musical comedy.

She starred in "It's a Wonderful Life" in 1946 as Ruth Dakin Bailey, George Bailey's smiling sister-in-law.

She had "probably been in more homes than even Santa Claus," as Moss frequently quipped.

But despite her burgeoning stardom in the middle of the 1940s, "It's a Wonderful Life" didn't mark the start of a protracted Hollywood career for her.

We now have a second angel. Zuzu, who was portrayed by Grimes, was George Bailey's daughter. "She is now with Cruse, her lover. We will miss her!"
