Sports are my passion. Sports are my passion, whether it's professional, collegiate, or high school.

I have been to many football, basketball and baseball games. These are the three major American sports. Ice hockey is the fourth.

This may be due to the fact that my family never talked about or watched ice hockey, but it is the truth. After almost 19 years of being a journalist about sports, I have never seen a single game of ice hockey.

Although I don't have many friends or family who watch professional wrestling, it is still something that I enjoy. Professional wrestling is my favorite entertainment and my closest friends don't watch it.

They don't have the same number of fans as the National Football League, the National Basketball Association (NBA), or Major League Baseball (MLB), but ice hockey fans seem to be the most passionate of all sports.

You don't have to go to the NHL. My friend and I attended the Fort Wayne Komets game earlier in the year. She went on and on about how much she enjoyed it.

If there had been as much media coverage about the NHL, I would have seen it at least once. My knowledge and interest in ice hockey is shockingly low due to this and the lack of other people who watch it.

Although I don't have any prior experience with the NHL or ice hockey, and nobody around me seems to be interested, it could prove very beneficial. Perhaps I will become more involved with the NHL and follow it closer than any other major sport.

Perhaps, if/when my girlfriend and I go to a hockey game, we'll have just as much fun and want to see more ice hockey.
