Rapper Lil Tjay apparently goes through a medical procedure subsequent to being shot in New Jersey

In an early-morning tweet, the Bergen County prosecutor’s office said that its major crimes unit and the Edgewater Police Department are investigating a shooting with two victims that occurred around midnight Wednesday at 14 The Promenade, a shopping plaza in Edgewater.

Wednesday that one of the casualties was the 21-year-old rapper and that he was going through a medical procedure. The degree of his injuries and his condition were not yet known.

Delegates for the rapper, whose given name is Tione Jayden Merritt, and for the investigator's office didn't promptly answer Wednesday to The Times' solicitations for input.

The two casualties were taken shots at an Exxon corner store and a Chipotle, with the casualty at the Exxon station supporting one gunfire wound and the casualty at the Chipotle supporting different.

Police responded to a 911 call at 12:08 a.m. for the Chipotle victim, Fox 5 New York reported.

Per that outlet, both victims were 22, making it unclear which was 22-year-old Tjay.

A rapper from the Bronx, Tjay, conceived Tione Jayden Merritt, delivered his subsequent collection, Destined 2 Win, in April 2021.

The US drill rapper stood out as truly newsworthy toward the end of last year after he was shot compromising a fan while acting in Manchester.

An examination is being led by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the bearing of Chief Jason Love and the Edgewater Police Department under the heading of Chief Donald Martin.
