Bette Midler, who tweeted about trans people and the language they use to describe them on Monday caused outrage.
Now she is defending herself against critics.
Tweet that said "WOMEN OF ALL WORLD!" Our rights over our bodies and our lives, as well as our names, are being taken away!"
They don't call us "women" anymore. Instead, they call us "birthing people", 'menstruators', and even people with vaginas!" Don't let them wipe you out!
The tweet continued, "Every human on the planet owes to you."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the now-viral tweet has received over 102,000 likes as well as nearly 21,000 comments.
"As a trans woman, I support inclusive language to ensure that trans people are not denied the right to my bodily [anatomy].
One user stated that we are all fighting the same battle.

Midler took to Twitter again Tuesday to clarify her tweet.
