Frank Fritz, who was the original host of American Pickers' hit reality TV series, has had a stroke.

His ex-partner revealed that he is currently in hospital.

Frank, I pray that you will make it through this okay. Mike Wolfe posted on Instagram, "I love you, buddy."

Fritz and Wolfe had a falling out and Fritz didn't return to the show last year.

Wolfe posted on Instagram: "I have been very secretive in the past year regarding Frank's life, and the journey that he's been along.

Many opinions have been expressed about Frank and my friendship.

The show is over, but it's not the right time to correct the record. This is the right time to pray for my friend.

Wolfe, 58, shared a picture of Fritz, 56, in an Instagram post.

"I have kept Frank's journey and his life very private over the past year.

Many opinions have been expressed about Frank and my friendship.

But now is not a good time to correct the record.

"Frank suffered a stroke and is currently in hospital. He said, "Please keep him in your thoughts and hearts."

Fritz told The Sun later that he had just entered rehab for alcohol addiction and was fired from American Pickers.

He last appeared in March 2020, when he was on hiatus following back surgery and was then let go.
