8 Techniques to Conquer Fear

BY SOPHIA BELL

1. UNDERSTAND AND EMBRACE FEAR

Fear exists to keep us safe It is neither intrinsically good nor negative but a tool we may use to improve our decision-making.

2. NAME THE FEAR

Declare your fear aloud, put it in writing, or concentrate on it.Your fear intensifies as you attempt to ignore it. It contracts when you face it.

3. THINK LONG TERM

Your short-term issue won't be resolved by thinking about it in the long run, but doing so can help you approach it more objectively and find the best answer.

4. EDUCATE YOURSELF

Get the knowledge you need to evaluate the issue based on facts rather than conjecture if your worry is based on a lack of information.

5. BE WILLING TO PIVOT

If you're hesitant to try something since it failed the first time, consider why it failed and try a different approach before giving up.

6. USE PEER PRESSURE

Similar to fear itself, peer pressure can be used positively or negatively depending on how it's applied.
